Lucifer Returns

I do not believe in God...does not stop me from writing about him and the devil.

In heaven what space is left for the devil,
A big enough crowd with no room for his heat,
But in he thunders announcing peril,
With blood painted skin and hooves for feet,

Screams revenge, lies and cheats,
Which all stride into the lights of God,
Dissolving into their bones and teeth,
And mixing in with an innocent fog,

Years will pass and vanish with hate,
And the merry men shall count
But the merry men have a dangerous fate
Resulting in no merry sound, 

Chime with a victor the bells are told,
Ring out your toxic song,
But if you lose, your soul is sold,
The right as bad as the wrong,

Swooping through the porcelain city,
Leaving destruction along the path,
From no one on earth will you gain their pity,
You shall have to suffer his wrath,

Tears of millions paint the walls,
A beautiful, glistening glaze,
None but him hear their calls,
To us, it is all a haze,

So as I run away from red, bright red,
My feet just sound a clatter,
In that empty space, I lost my head,
But no one and nothing matters,

Very powerful piece and very esoteric. I always thought it was funny how people blame the devil for human actions. Poor Lucifer. Blamed for everything. Excellent work. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing more.
