Memory

 

Remember, as soon as the capsules

containing the seeds of love are dried

and the sand undulated like waves,

ridged by the wind, you will hear the song

of the lonely desert and my desperation

to save you a place side by side in a boat

floating in complete quietness on the estuary

of the large river of our past life, to meet

the ocean of memory with tears streaming down

our faces to dissolve in the deep waters forever
