Alone

This is a poem about not having to face life and the struggles that come with it alone.

You think you’re safe

You look around

No danger to be seen.

Take a step and feel the pain

The enemy is all around.

Close your eyes and realize

The danger has been promised.

You can’t fight alone,

You were never meant to.

Take a step and hold the hand

of the one who can help you through.

The storms rage

But hold on tight

There are those who love you.

Through thick and thin they will stand

honest to the end.
