Thoughts Confined Inside

Thoughts Confined Inside

A Poem by Savannah Bly
"

Silence is golden. In lines and confusing metaphors.

"
Thoughts Confined Inside

I speak too much
In lines and confusing metaphors
My silence I should tightly clutch
And watch you smile, as you confine my thoughts deep inside---
And slam shut the doors

oooh i like this...i shouldn't have to say anything at all...i don't need to speak...my thoughts should be locked deep inside you without me penning them or verbalizing them...we are one.

and maybe words just do confuse the issue.

Wow, I agree. Nicely put and thanks for the review Jacob! :)
Silence can, indeed, be just as beautiful and timely as a well chosen metaphor....for silence speaks just as loudly (sometimes louder) than words. Beautiful, insightful write, dear Savannah!

Thank you! :)
Oh how I feel this one currently. One must choose carefully with whom to not share thoughts and feelings--just as long as one also chooses someone within whom to confide. Very well done!
