Alexander's Plea

Alexander's Plea

A Poem by Kloverfield

I don't want you to ever leave.
My heart is nothing without you,
And yet I find it hard to breathe
Whenever you are in my view.

You are my dear heart, my sweet love.
You've brought light to my longing eyes.
A beauty only born above,
With lovely wings, she really flies.

A meter small for love so dear,
A love so true, I could not feign
My devotion, never mirrored
In ev'n the heaviest thickest rain.

A light so pure in you, my Love,
Cannot be hid beneath your blush.
I'm lost in night, no light above,
A weary quester for your touch.

Author's Note

Kloverfield
Written because of a cooperative Labyrinth fanfiction I'm writing with too many OCs to really be considered wholly Labyrinth anymore. Through a serious of uncontrolled events, Alexander loses his Angel, and as hard as he tries, he can't seem to bring her back to him, to have her trust him again. I probably won't put the actual fanfiction on here.
