Phoenix

Phoenix

A Poem by Jinx's Heart
"

Lyrics--in memory of my deceased friend.

"
When all hell broke loose in my world--

All was lost

I was still falling,

Fading fast into the molten lava

I was trying survive what he had done to me

And my world had crumbled

No one seemed to understand

The pain from desecration tumbled--

That feeling surged through me.

Crying for help, but dying inside--

I longed for someone to pull me up.

Lost in a dark world

Only wanting to crawl and hide.

You were my Phoenix!

Glowing, rising out of the ashes to save me.

You soared too keep me from falling.

Gleaming, gliding, holding on to rescue me.

I found myself on your wings flying!

Slowing submerging from the molten lava

And out of the ashes

Away from the pain those violators caused me

We flew! High above the others, we ascended.

I could ascend from the painful hell-like magma.

Taking the hand of a fearful victim,

Your smile blazes across the horizon

As your heart-beat sends new life into motion

As your colors shine over us all with warmth

And strength. The devil scorned as you defeated him.

We flew together, you and I!

Our hearts did beat together

As we found our safe-haven away from the fire-pit of Hell--

Away from the torture of pain.

Our colors grew as we reached out onto others who needed help and love.

We flew together you and I!

You were my Phoenix!

Glowing, rising out of the ashes to save me!

You picked me up from the burning dust.

Gleaming, gliding, holding on to rescue me.

Resiliently shining, showing blameless trust.

We grew together, learned to fight together

Your feathers became mine as your time drew near.

We soared to save others who had drowned in the ashes of torment

Floating on your radiant wings, reaching out, loving how you loved

We flew together, we fought together, we loved together…

Now your feathers are mine as I reach out onto others who are stuck in the molten rock,

Crying out for justice"crying out for help.

I spread my wings out for the first time since your departure

And I feel my heart long for you as I fly for the first time.

Feeling my new talons you gave me before you passed

Claw away at the ashes as I save victims trapped in evil’s grasp.

You were my Phoenix!

Glowing, rising out of the ashes to save me!

You showed me how to survive, live and fly.

Gleaming, gliding, holding on to rescue me.

You gave me wings to save others now--You taught me how to fly!
