Childhood

Childhood

A Poem by SimplyDisastrous

I wish I could go back to

The time when boys had

Cooties, when I was unable

To write on the lines, the time

When everything was colorful

And right in the world and the

Birds were singing. I wish I could

Go back to childhood.

I agree, completely. I think it was a good choice to make the word "childhood" a rainbow. It emphasizes the effects of the innocence of childhood.

Agreed. Childhood was some of the best years of my life. When you were a child, everything was simple and fun and exciting and amazing. So I can relate to this poem. Great job!

Quite wonderful. I found myself longing to be a child again. I love your stiff Kristen Wallen. Very very good.

Me too. Most of it anyway. Although, I don't remember having cooties.

Nice rhyme scheme. I like the colors at the end. Such a true message. We all long for the innocence and wonder of childhood. But somehow, we're better off with the knowledge. Also ironic because as children all we want is to be adults.

Hey. I used to be on here alot when I was 15. Now, not so much. I'm 18 now and I'm not nearly as depressing as I used to be, but still depressing enough. Message me and feel free to read my old poems... more..
