Chained to the desk

Chained to the desk

A Poem by Scisenheart

again, watch out for the sweary word

I'll be a lover, a fighter and a drunken w***e.
They say I'm a dreamer, but to you I'm so much more.
I'll be free from my chains which hold me back,
still, at least I'm alive if i live upon the rack.

There's a world outside the classroom,
Believe me I've seen it myself.
It's not your exams that matter,
they wont bring you happiness or wealth.
But there's a light inside your heart that will soon die out,
if you don't hurry up and teach the flame to sing and shout.

A very great poem. Highly expressive. I commend your poetical vision and talent, and I hope you make more poetry like this peace of art.
