Unbreakable

Unbreakable

A Poem by Scrawler'sSecret

Unbroken spirit,
Trapped in pages of the book of souls,
Stripped of determination left,
Naked on text stained paper,
Dignity forced to leave,
Through cardboard covers,
The one thing left to hide her shame.

Broken hearted,
Crossing stepping stones,
The words of love poems beneath,
Her feet burn her soles,
Sinking through tear drop,
Soaked paper changing,
Color to blood, to red, to brown.

Unbreakable spirit,
Hanging on loose ends tripping through plot holes,
Down in the chapters,
Seeking safe haven,
Among the pages,
Keeps reading on through,
To the cover on the other side.

I like to write obviously. I also believe that an important part of writing is reading. Learning other techniques to instill in your work. Or just new vocabulary words. I write all sorts of things... more..
