Misunderstanding and a Bad Trip on Life

Misunderstanding and a Bad Trip on Life

A Poem by TheScreamingSadist
"

Coincidentally enough, the advertisement to the right is promoting a variation of the Alice in Wonderland novel.

"
I'm sitting on a mushroom,
and my head is where it's at.
I am not alive, which is fine.
I am content with the shifting hues
and bubbling words
that dance around me.

ambition
     derision
      distraction
   uglification

My eyes are a conductor's baton,
swinging back and forth, bouncing off of each word
as they dive and dance to my rhythm
(or possibly I to theirs) until my cheeks sting with melted sclera.

A black hole steals the sun from my pocket
and tosses it out the window.
My bleeding sockets follow,
alluring me to reach out and take it back,

but the ledge is teasing me.
It tickles my toes,
fires spasms of tense excitement and numbing terror
through my breast and stomach,
inducing nausea all over the canvas I created while riding a white horse
whose mane was stained with electric koolaid.

One step will show distinction between the ultimate high
and a skull-stained sidewalk.

I really like this.
All of your writing is so edgy. I'm envious.
My favorite parts are;
"A black hole steals the sun from my pocket
and tosses it out the window.
My bleeding sockets follow,
alluring me to reach out and take it back,"
and
"One step will show distinction between the ultimate high
and a skull-stained sidewalk."

Amazing work!!
