The Murders of Silence

Silence comes on a deadly card,
His lips are tied, and his face is scarred,
He’ll leave a coin to mark his place,
Like a book mark left behind a book’s face.
He’ll never hunt within a pack,
We’re picked off by ones,
And ended like that.
A swift kiss, to steal your soul.
The victim’s new,
The game is old.
He’ll only take you if they leave,
But it wouldn’t matter, ‘cause you can’t scream.
Silence takes your heart, your voice,
But leaves in its place, one final choice:
What will you do, die or be dead,
When at night he comes to dance in your head?
Will you run in fear,
Or dare to look,
Find out what’s pressed behind that book?
For Silence can be found with only one fear,
The person who ventures
To look in the mirror.
For only then, the person can see,
Both Silence the man, and the silence in he.
If you stare death straight in the face,
You’ll know truth, but will die in its place.
For the last thing you'll know before your final fall,
Is that eventually Silence will come,
And Silence will kill us all.

i got the idea from this dream i had, in which there was litterally a cloaked "man" (more like a dementor really) named Silence killing everyone. he could only kill people once they were alone, and would leave a gold coin as his calling card. the only way to get away was to walk backwards, using a mirror. so i wrote it down as i remembered, and decided that it had a fantastic ambiguous meaning.
