To start anew

To start anew

A Poem by Michelle N. H.

I sense a calm and gentle breeze

Whispering through the crowns of trees

A tender touch, a sunray so warm

How pleasing the thought of being reborn

To start anew and to perceive the world

The rubbing of novel eyes, a body curled

I have been asleep and am now awake

In my chest, a heart oblivious to ache

How I long for an innocent dream

An embrace that lasts the length of a stream

A kiss with a promise of unconditional love

The serenity found through such infinity thereof

Take me there, to the end of all there is

Let me close my eyes one final time in bliss

Knowing there is another coast to the sea

Knowing someone somewhere is waiting for me

To start anew

To start again

I will be good

I swear, I will

This. is the first posted write and its already deep . If we have been another chance to rewrite the history of our fragmented life . At what point and what chapter and pages of our life we begin to change anew . Do we get to choose where we were born ...our parents ...our siblings ..our friends and school ...or perhaps who we would fall in love with . The shape and the color of our eyes and hair . Perhaps even our careers . Or do we get to change the some but not the all and choose to leave half if not some to chance and happenstance . Even at the prime beginning . There's that deep introspection in all your penned piece . Thanks for posting and sharing .

It's a spiritual write that's expressing the passion of your soul, of your heart to start off the things to do, to restart the life to live again living past behind into the past to make future nice and living in present free from pain or free from the old memories of the past at all ...

... nicely transformed the feelings of your heart into the words to express .. to show the "New-Start" of the life. I'd love to say that this poem's seemed very encouraging to me and i hope who read this read'd gonna be encourage themselves either by your words to live a life in a new start .. in all new ways.

Ah! I really can't control myself to give you 100/100, sorry but i have to give you 100/100.
Thanks for penning it!

By the way, Your cool!

That's nice, I'm glad you feel that way.
I enjoy the idea of rebirth, both spiritually and metaphorically - to be able to start again, to redefine oneself and cleanse the imperfections within, whether it be via change in perspective or otherwise. That innocence you describe is something so precious, but easily lost with time. How different would the world be if we retained that innocence? Another beautifully crafted poem that incites discussion and invites praise.

We'd have a divine world in its inconceivability. Thank you, I value that last compliment :)

We need new beginnings. I understand the desire of this poem. I changed my life four times. Sometime we need change and new places and people. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

As we change, our surroundings ought to change also and vice versa. Thanks, Coyote!

Yes, I agree. I left the country twice and joined a war to escape. It was worth the effort.

Your poetry is a pleasure to read. So graceful, elegant and I find it very feminine. Have you been published? If not; I am sure you will be soon.
