Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Michelle N. H.

Sitting here,
waiting on snow to fall
atop these willow branches.

From my window
I see the leafs
falling after passing.

Gone with the wind is
the melody of yesterday,
a soothing voice,
a whisper of
someone's promise..

and the birds leave my horizon for
a rising sun.

You were here before, I think? Your style of writing is near ethereal, gentle and visual. In spite of your sad ending, there is a special subtlety running throughout. Take care, keep safe.

Michelle,
Nice imagery, and I understand the need for quiet moments. They give us an opportunity to record what's happening inside our heads when we see the leaves and birds departing. Maybe they've gone to find what happened to the whispered promise we hung our hopes on.

Thank you, Vol. In those still moments we're perhaps more likely to find out.

You was one of the first people on this website who gave me review. When I was joined around 2013 . It's nice to see you , you are still keep writing . Even last post is about 2 years ago. Anyway I decide to visit you and give you some my comments.

It's can be before the morning or you are still at dream. We can feel your thoughts at most beautiful poetic way. Silent observation in silent meditation. You make us wonder and even i reading this at hot summer. I feel winter shivering at my skin.

I felt myself waiting with you. Thank you for taking me on this journey of words, it felt very personal, so thank you for sharing. I can enjoy sitting against a windowpane and looking at the surroundings completely lost in thought. The phrasing is beautiful, the choice of music and the impact of the piece leaves me on a melancholy high.

Blue. You don't always have to wait, or feel so alone. Shadows cast by a sun too blind to see, need not be your focus, my dear. We all have shadows, each of us. We must traverse them, to transcend them, and I have more faith in you than I ever had before.
