MERE XLIX

MERE XLIX

A Poem by Seanne Tholltree

You delighted me

When you’re around

You just don’t know it.

But sometimes I’m scared of you

Because you might hurt me with your

Words when you’re angry but don’t ever think that I’m not comforting you or tapping

your back when you’re on your lowest, but the

truth is I want to hug you tight,

Tight as the tightest tie

There be, but I just wouldn’t

Even if I really I could

Because you might

Not hug me back, and that’s merely tragic
