I am

I am

A Poem by A. L. Robinson

I am memories

of yesterday

that refuse to sleep,

and never rest.

I am the tears

that fall from my eyes,

washing away

the dust of my soul.

I am the darkness

that goes unseen,

in the sanctums of

my broken mind.

I am regret

that shadows each step,

reminding me

of innocence lost.

I am grief, for I

died a little

inside the day the

earth swallowed he.

Absolutely Fantastic. We are this and more. Everything about us , all the little pieces, our tears, ours laughter, our fears, etc, when combined make us who we are. I love this.

It has a voice and it speaks volumes.

Thank you for sharing.

Man (or shall I say woMAN) this is great. I mean, it's sad, but the self-introspection and the awareness you have of your own thoughts and the collective thoughts of humans going through grief is uncanny. As sad as this is, it's both powerful and beautiful.

Is it supposed to say he or me. I liked it untill the last line which might just be a typo.
Thanks for sharing. Love All, Mejasha
