Duet

Duet

A Poem by Christina Nichole

There's no words to describe
How you make me feel
When I look in your eyes
It all seems so surreal

My heart doesn't merely skip a beat
More like an entire measure
Simply being in your presence
Gives me all I need in pleasure

The sound of the heavenly violins
Are silent when you speak
your hands play the sweetest music
And you never skip a beat

You sing to me a lullaby
And I'm scared to fall asleep
For fear of losing your lovely face
That of which I wish to keep

So let us sing our song
As our voices ring out loud
Our duet will last a life time
And make the greatest sound

For as long as you're mine
Our love will stay strong
And I'll have the satisfaction of knowing
I've had the best partner all along.
