The beast I have tamed

The beast that is within us

I met a beast last night

It was crawling on my walls

Dog like in nature

But cat like in knowledge

It didn't speak

But it moved

With me

And against me

This beast I saw

It was terrifyingly docile

It's appearance was strained

But it wanted to be touched

I reached out

Touching it

The fur was soft

It was begging for help

That night I tamed the beast

And I see that beast every night

For that beast

Is the side of me I didn't want to see
