A Poem by Seraph Trend

I find that my thoughts are like a motion I cannot control.

I have left the way of prayer for other sayings and other words.

My soul feels the longing to be close, once again, to the heavenly Father.

How empty and cold are the days away from your temple.

How frightening is the thunder of thought away from the shelter of your wings.

I cannot live without breath or water not even without bread.

How dependent I am to the things of the flesh.

But when those are not of a lacking, how fragile I am in lack of your Spirit.

At the edge of sanity, of fear, of thinning into the night.

But your waters are refreshing. Your food is strength.

Your shade is a comfort worth all that is a luxury.

Father in heaven, I miss you - Im here again.

May I rest here, next to you.

I have Found comfort again in the midst of your assembly.

The brothers and sisters, they sing the songs of love in your halls.

They speak to me in loving embrace; words that fortify.

In your assembly I find the gift of fellowship. The family of Christ.

How sweet the sound. I hear the prayers once again.

Welcome home brother, they say to me, with a smile and a gesture.

I am home. Beneath your wings. In the kingdom Halls where your words are preached.
