The Path We Take

Family, Friends... They are all on the path we take.

We feel like it’s expected

Like it’s normal and needed

But in real undying truth,

It’s dirty, hurtful and conceited.

 

And even when it appears,

Making you smile and laugh,

There will always be the day

When you wind up hurt and mad.

 

And then one day, perhaps,

You’ll find your fairy tale,

Living life the way you want,

Your happiness a flowing veil.

 

So, even if life can bite,

And it pushes you to breaking,

Always know that life and love

Have the path that you’ll be taking.
