Lacuna

Lacuna

A Poem by Seriana

Lacuna

There was a time not so long ago when pause became the norm.

We stood in this vast space,

and existed,

in-patients (patience).

Colors around us exceeded the expanse of the protective dome.

And Rome….

Rome was not built in this day.

Neither,

then,

could we progress at a speed safe enough to sustain.

What slowed and divided,

also falsely revered and protected (unbeknownst to us).

We flailed in the frail fragility of a forced space.

Comfort in the form of a warm body replaced the confines of a true heart…

and we bled out the truth…

The resulting actions poured out..

as hourglass sand seeping too quickly to a stop,

before they become lost.

There was a time not so long ago…

That pause should have become go.

Sometimes the pause becomes a secret journey.. a place that spins thoughts and mxes them with hope and something once can't really explain. There's such a sadness here - and yet, a willing surrender to how it was, how it became. And now.. a forward glance.. always a forward glance.. Beautiful one, you write with such power, it makes me sit up and beg to hug and share same time. hinkg perhaps: That hourglass is a magical creature that lives when moved.. as we humans are. Yes?

Whoa A ....wait who opened the curtains into our poised windows?
You’ve captured a snapshot here of a mixture blended with self analysis and emotion.

Brings me sadly to memories of broken relationships....Yet you managed to assert strength hidden within its flow .

Brilliant

What a divine word, what a sacred journey of being, of thriving, of grasping. The movement of your words caries us into the empty spaces, the missing pages, the vastness left behind in the breathing places of love. Makes me wonder of yesterdays, and makes me hope for beautiful days to come, dear one.
