Let Me

Let Me

A Poem by Sestra
"

These are my feelings associated with a person’s reaction to my impulsive behavior. More may be written on this topic.

"
Let me fester
Let me wander through this forest untethered
Though your touch will be distant and severed
Know that I’m striving for better
Let me fall
Let my skin dawn new scrapes
I attempt these escapes
Then I flounder on the surface of what it would take
To commit to the pain
Embrace my disdain of the world we’ve become losing hope for my sane
I like but a taste
A swish and spit
A dip in the ocean of losing my bliss
It happens sometimes
Alone with my wit
Bestowed is my temper
Below is my whip
Downstairs is my beast
Uncommon to enter
But often he peaks
Rumbles my head
Crumbles my speech
Worries my sense
Who would I be?
Without him I’m spineless exposed to the sheen
The eternal light to which I have been keen
Yet, know this I do
Though it might be discreet
A love for the cursed
A love for the clean
