Lost behind a mask.

Lost behind a mask.

"

A dream I had last night. Really sums things up though.

"
"Can I help you?" The host asked, clearly impatient.
I had the innate sense that I was being followed, a set of invisible eyes set upon me.
"I'm with uh... Kasagawa." I said, sure to be turned away.
"I see." The man said, disbelief littering his voice. "Follow me."
We walked through an elaborate hall way, painted crimson red, gold framed mirrors lining the halls. We stopped in front of a set of studded, iron doors, the kind you might find on an old castle.
The host led me though into a great ball room filled with many people, of all different skins. Yet they looked related. Maybe it was their straight noses, or their thin lips. Any which way you looked you could see I was not part of them. The host tapped one of the young men at the party on the shoulder.
"Excuse me sir, is this young lady with your family?" He asked grinning with malevolence.
"Oh, why yes, thank you." The young man said. Instantly the host's grin fell away. Attempting to regain his composure he straightened out and walked away.
"It's nice to see you again." the man said "Though may I ask why you are Summer again? I thought that was only a disguise."
I was lost at words. A disguise? I felt like myself, not disguised at all. If anything I needed one so that I could sneak away.
"um... I've got to go to the washroom, I'll talk to you in a bit okay?" I asked trying not to seem too hurried.
"Of course, we'll see you then."
I turned down the hall that would lead me to my destination; still I felt watched. As I made my way, my mind flashed back to the first encounter I had with that man. It was a scenario similar to this, I was on a mission to stop a group of assassins after his family. I was to use his family name to get into the club and take out the enemy. I had little intention of ever running into the Kasagawas again, so it came as a shock to find them here. Still I had to focus on my task. Upon reaching the boiler room which served as the entrance to the underground factory, I dropped down to remain hidden from sight. The Hanger below held four tanks, equipped with ion cannons and heat seeking missiles.
"This should do" I said loosing a grenade from my belt.
I watched as the little ball of death rolled its way across the floor and under the tread of one of the tanks. As the world exploded in the hanger below I made my way back to the party.
"So what did I miss?"

Yeah I know it seems to have stuff missing, but that's the way dreams are.
Anyway I hope you find it interesting.

... Is it okay to say I'm lost? Is it? Okay, I'm not going to be completely negative here. In fact, I'm not being negative at all really. I'm just a bit... confused? Do you intend to work more on this dream though? If not, I disagree. Despite the little length of this story, I was interested by the end. Who were the assassins and who were the characters? Just thoughts - you know how picky I am by now. Anyway, yes, dreams have a tendency to, well, take us "artists" everywhere, don't they? I've had plenty and jotted them down as well. The only difference? I don't have them posted on here, duh. Still, now I'm rambling. You should work on this, Shadow. Judging by what you just threw onto here, I think it would be a good tale if worked on. If you couldn't guess, this was good; despite the randomness and lack of... stuff. :)
