Communication Complication

Communication Complication

A Poem by Sgammato [Inertia The Musical]

Summer Bries tries to hold a conversation with Liberty and friends, but their dialogue is constantly marred by text messages and other interruptions. Summer laments their inability to communicate.

Communication Complication

We speak, we can’t agree on all things unsound; we’re juggling
Beneath the canopy of false creeds; I’ve found we’re struggling
To feel

Inside the deepest depths of my mind I find my solace
Despite my vain attempts to disguise I find that all is
Not well

Fine, don’t waste your time on this life or any of it’s troubles
Don’t think, just gently sink into your blinking beeping bubble

But I won’t compromise or falsify communication
This simulated interaction has dimmed relations
And I’ve got to feel
