Send Me Home

Send Me Home

A Poem by Shade Teller
"

A prayer.

"

Send me home, dear god

To the heaven above,

Where I know I won’t be hated,

Where I know I will have love.

Send me home, dear god

From this place I know,

Where hostility and hate,

Is all They ever show.

Send me home, dear god

By your will not mine,

Let my life and soul,

Be for thee and only thine.

Send me home, please god,

Don’t let me waste away,

Don’t let my spirit rot,

With another sin-filled day.

Send me home, please Lord.

Take my life, keep it from the harms

Of this dreadful world,

Please, hold me in your arms.

Send me home, my Lord, my God,

To the heaven above,

To the place where I can feel,

Your undying love.

Please god, send me home.

Wow it's nice, it's true that we can feel down because of how cruel this world is, but if we think about what awaits us in heaven and that all our work will soon pay off, itmakes our jouney down here a little more bearable don't you think?

I can't help but be reminded of 'What I believe' by Ashley. Both of these convey the same message. However, this has more of emotions and less poetic. When not compared, this is a wonderful prayer. I especially liked the third stanza. Very well done. Keep writing :)

There is no other words to describe this, other than being perfect, and great. This is the sort of poem that people need to read and actually use in their daily life. Very very good job.
