You and I

You and I

A Poem by Shadow Star Crimson

You ask me what the pain is for!

I shrug off the pain right then and there!

You say I don’t need this self-inflicted pain!

I secretly want the self-inflicted pain as a reminder!

You ask if I’m okay!

I question whether Im okay or if I really need it to feel okay!

You say it’s gonna be alright!

I started to believe it cuz its coming from you!

You say I need to change!

I wish I could answer!

You ask if its gonna be easy or hard!

I know its true!

You say life goes on!

I feel better for a while!

You say shit happens!

I don’t give a fuck!

You ask me questions that make me laugh!

I'm afraid of what it means!

You look me in the eyes till I smile!

I know the feeling of joy are better than anything!

You ask me why I cut!

I say for the dominance of the real pain!

You ask me if it hurts!

I want to tell the truth but I wont!

You beg for a reason as to why I need this!

I stand and look at you pretending I don’t have any reason!

We see the pain in each other and that's all I to know. But in time our worries will change and the pain will leave! And I will not evade the truth. All’s well that end’s well. And we’ll all end up happy no matter what the end end is!
