YOU SHINE

YOU SHINE

A Poem by Sharon Kinsella
"

Note to my daughter on her birthday.

"

YOU SHINE

it's perceptable in your smile and eyes.

Intelligence shines through like fog breaks

at night when parting happens and the clearness shows through.

Your walls look unbreachable, but only look that way to

someone who doesn't know what you cover.

The soul within so tender and good.

You make me want to be someone better, not to measure in relation to you,

but for you and because of who you are.

How can I ever explain the pride I feel inside when I hear your voice or

look at you? It's useless to even try to explain.

Just always know that you glitter and glow, rooms change when you enter and

no one walks away from you unchanged.

Are you a witch, a b***h, a woman, a girl or all these things?

Only you define your parameters.

The world waits for you to walk where you choose

and know that you can choose where you walk or

fly. Go on your way and know that you will always be the one

who shines.

I love you " Mom.

There is no better human love than that between parent and child. I imagine when she has children she will understand those words you didn't know how to express. Some things are not meant to be confined into the limits of language. This was touching and highly loving plus very beautiful.

In love with these lines..and your confidence of expression and of faith in this "entity".
Well written...

A beautiful piece of prose attempting to describe the indescribable.
Although it will take many years for her to fully comprehend what you are trying to say. Until she has children of her own probably

Miss Sharon,

Your prose described the most wonderful woman in world of whom I've recently just met, and though she is not my mom, she sure has my heart. My mom passed away some time ago, yet like this lady whom I am nuts about, I sure was nuts about my dingbat mom, and your poem reminds me how much I miss her.

I sure have been graced by the lady in front of me of whom you have described so very well. Thank you.

BRILLIANT! BZ
