THE LABYRINTH

THE LABYRINTH

A Poem by TerryDarcy-Ryan akaSheerTerror
"

the watch over a skyline corridor

"

a passageway assembled in perfection
hues claim blue for reflection
 conjured depth’s ensue
a violet isolation
the design of oblivion
no fleeting moment can abscond
all must fall or fly the horizon
these obscurities hold my untold
blinded in hidden tradition
  secrets folded over delicate
           clouds of warm winter blankets
trapped captive to an attic
lay inside the sunny side of regret
hope tapping on the window pane
a rap for the mocking
sounds a cadence walking
the rhythm of keys jingling
turning on a swinging chain
 belief soars beyond iron bars
the watch over a skyline corridor
gripping a cracked mirror
searching for a lost child, my child
gone far into the abyss
grey clouds shed their tears
  fuel a mothers anguish
roar in a thunders rest
sadness mourns while evanescent
the wonder of a child spirit
reaches beyond the pieces left behind
the shine through this essence as divine
empty arms holding tight to stolen time
 destiny fight’s to unwind
the labyrinth

Heavy, very very heavy, it feels like someone died and the person left behind is not sure on whether or not to believe in heaven. words "lost child, mother's anguish, child spirit" paint a pretty clear picture, and I am honestly wanting to ask if you are doing okay?

I feel you have a firm grip on your life story as I see the emotions deeply connect it to your imagery. I’ve been reading through your profile and noticed you lost your daughter; it gave me perspective. I am sorry- my prayers to you if you so wish. Your poetry is honest and I respect that.

You're welcome best of wishes. :)
quite the maze you take us through. we all have hurts, regrets and losses in life but time marches on. "seek and ye shall find." we are all his children. we walk a fine line between this life and Heaven. we must live the life we are given - not easy but faith is the key. we must keep our eyes focused and we can get through anything. that is what i take away from your deep, wonderful words and imagery ... :)
