OBLIVION'S LIE

seamless elegant strands 

beat by the wind

rise to stagger free 

sway each violent caress 

twisting on times thread 

strings gathered neat 

plucked from deep 

beneath the strangling fear 

blue sky's abide cheer

the view through dirt's cover 

grasping for air

slow drift of feathers

 a subtle descent

perched in belief

the remedy to devour need

captures my screams

lost in thunder

render the moment 

a reach far inside

a place to hide

now close your eyes 

 sorrow sleeps

This one has me thinking a lot, at first I thought of it as nature being a little scary here and there, especially in the first half, I immediately thought of grass. By the time I got done with the second half I thought more about time and life, the ups and downs, some gentle times and some difficult times and the fear of the fact that we will all go to sleep and not wake up in this place again one day. By the way that "render the moment moment" line really reminds me how valuable time and life is, thanks for that. This is a pretty deep poem, and I may not have fully interpreted it but I really like it. this one is really a thinker.
