Promise

Not edited yet simply written. The first poem I have written in a while. Please don't mind grammer and or spelling but let me know if you see any. However looking more for reviews on content. Thanks

I promise you love for all my days,

I promise to never stand in your way,

And though I may not promise to always obey,

I promise to consider all that you say.

 

I promise to let you stand on your own,

I promise my love will always be known,

And when you have seeds of dreams to be sewn,

I promise to help tend them till they are grown.

 

I promise my needs with you I will share,

I promise to try to always be fair,

And when hard times come to give us a scare,

I promise nomatter what I'll always be there.

 

I promise you love,

I promise you pain,

I promise you heartache,

I promise you shame.

 

I promise you tears,

I promise you smiles,

I promise you anger,

I promise to rile.

 

I promise through thick,

I promise through thin,

I promise to never,

Ever give in.

 

I can't promise perfect,

I can't promise sweet,

I can't promise to fall,

Always at your feet.

 

I can promise real,

I can promise great,

I can promise to always,

Work it out with my mate.

 

One last thing I can promise,

Before I am done,

I can promise you'll always,

Be my only one.
