Giving In

Giving In

A Poem by Frances L. Phillips

I can not take this anymore

My mind is numb my heart is sore

I've lost my will to stand and fight

Take me over, you've earned the right

Take my body, its at your command

Take my soul in your gentle hand

Take everything thats a semblance of me

Make me forget my memories

I open myself to your plan

Just don't bog me down with selfish demands

I am yours heart and soul

Step into me, make me whole

When you run your hands everywhere

Passion flares I'm nolonger scared

when you hold me close to your side

No more tears just gentle sighs

I used to think love must be weak

Lovers too tender, gentle, and meek

Used to cry rivers the whole night long

Untill you showed me love could make me strong.
