Bitter Bites Back

Bitter Bites Back

A Poem by Sheila Marie Carr
"

This poem is about when someone makes you so bitter, that you want to bite back.

"

Bitter Bites Back, with a vengence so cold

Now the tables are turned, and you have to go

I was always there, as your lover and friend

But the things you've done, made it a bitter end

I gave you an inch and you took a mile

Taken for granted, my beautiful smile

The unpleasant taste, that you left within me

Is severely piercing and as bitter as can be

You said it was was love, when you punched my face

But in my eyes, you are a living disgrace

Now that I've reached, the end of my rope

Bitter Bites Back, severing all hope

Whoa. That was pretty intense. I liked it! I could feel some really heavy Emotion when I read it. Good job, and nice sense of rhyming. :)
