Elusion of Death

Elusion of Death

A Poem by Sheila Marie Carr

Death why do you elude me so

I'm suffering here with no place to go

I wait for you to come my way

To take me away from this evil place

Into depths of deep dispair

So far, so far, beyond repair

Living here, is living a lie

I'm tired of pretending, and want to die

I'm ready to pay for what I reap

I want the darkness of eternal sleep

Lights out, stop the press

All I do is stress, stress, stress

Frustrating and tired, of you slipping away

Death don't elude me, another day

Another gripping piece coming from the heart, I respect you for your willingness to let it out. You are FAR from crazy, the people who bottle it all up and not reach out, well, I won't say they're crazy but they are more likely to fade away, you will never fade away because you have the heart of God in you!! Keep doing what you're doing because as you may already know, YOU are helping others to heal!!
