Lofn's Curse

Lofn's Curse

A Poem by Shelby
"

Lofn (LAW-ven) is the Norse goddess of forbidden love.

"

Heart-sick,

Wistful,

He longs for her and

She for him,

We lonesome two

On love’s brittle limb.

Beautiful soul,

Say nothing at all

Just come to me whole

Come at my call.

Tell me you love me,

I’ll lean on such an appeal

Warm water words

For my frost and ice ears.

You know how I feel

And I know it as well

You are my air and my breath

For you only I fell.

You are not free,

But neither am I,

Our heart and our essence

Not boundless to fly.

That limb will have broken,

Along with we two,

Fallen from the core

Just like me from you.

I may love you, mind and spirit,

With all that I am and will be,

My exquisite never implicit

Completion of me.

So will he love her

Until time and they part.

They will love each other

Separated heart from crushed heart.

Wonderful way to tie in love and greed (or so it seems to me).

Short, emotional, full of dreams and nightmares... J'adore.
