Understanding The Moon's Humility

Understanding The Moon's Humility

A Poem by Shidare
"

The moon cannot give light herself; she faces the sun to reflect the glory of his light through her face. Who is your light?

"
A court of starlit dignitaries
All shade themselves in the banquet's backdrop
A feast of the Nightly Shine
They glit like meek candles
To pay homage to their Moon
But the Moon turns a crescent mood
In the pain of their vainglory
A shadowy frown at galaxies
Reveals the emptiness she feels as queen...
Such a humble queen!
Recognizing she is but a stone
Void of begetting light
Such humility becomes a search
The search becomes Love
Love sealed with the gaze of Devotion
As the Moon's face adores the Sun
Following him forever

On a black night there is nothing so hauntingly refreshing as the sight of a full moon even if is doomed to follow the sun
