Carr and I

Carr and I

A Poem by Shirlena
"

Cold Wednesday

"

day of mound and glacier like canvases

of which chariot trembles… I fear taking its ride

wanting to dodge winds… reaching…turning her over we uniformly shiver

dressing to match the frost she is white painted in silver glaze

best to raise a slight flame to her

as I’m inside shielded from the frigid blanket of clear skies

and dusk extreme as the wicked cold snaps between us

persisting a spark until she purrs from a cozy hug and fingers unthaw at last

we both delight with steeping grills at relief advancing slyly

mechanical sister of mine together

stifle for a time the chilly presence…a new Wednesday’s curve
