ahead to the hoodoo

ahead to the hoodoo

A Poem by Shirlena
"

relax, relate, release

"

resounding euphoric Mad…cajoling one to envision

an opening to the mellow mind that plays …

trip through harmonious meandering

for a chance to purge formidable grasp

enlightened with methodology of teaching those hearing

this invitation of the path where dulcet tones deluge

trickling outside of those skeptical notions…this must be the

motherland of lyrical elixirs…was this down beat rigged to blow

multitudinous minds

then ahhhhh yes

detained passions unleashed to discover it’s legs recall palatable surfaces

whirlwinds to commit hanging on…enraptured of a purposeful voice

expel the folly regressing into abysmal extent of troubles

but it’s does not resolve in libations … has no business with ganja… hallucinating tyranny

see the only end to my sweet misery is a bowl full with hints

of fusion windpipes and charmed rim sessions

tap and a farewell to the creature felt grown too ugly and

deranged...tall

shake from shoulders until it has wasted down to size…softened by perfumed perspiration

refresh this relaxed hair… I’m going home

afterwards all thought ill

has restored to Zanzibar once more

This is great Shirlina. I really enjoyed every twist those uniquely arranged syllables took me on. Great work. It's relative and hip. Very cool.

For MOI??? :) Thank you so much for such uplifting words x. I'm getting all rosy faced over here:)
I felt like this was a voodoo spell...
Spastic and frustrated in pace and language.
In the end... "restored to Zanzibar"... ah... we can rest.

Thanks David, can't wait to read your's been trying to catch up on so much lately.
You know what? You've inspired me to write a poem kind of like this (although I think what I have in mind has a completely different meaning). May I send you a read request when it's done? :-)

Zanzibar sounds like N'awlins to me, a perfect piece to celebrate the nuances of that place...I can feel the rhythm and beat of this one. I could dance to this one all night long Shirlena.

Wow!! Such stunningly dreamlike imagery. I sense that there's a lot of depth to this poem, and I haven't yet deciphered the meaning. I understand that hoodoo is a form of magic; there certainly is quite a bit of magic I can envision here!

I'm sure you have your own deep meanings to this work, and you're by no means required to share them, but I am curious as to what inspired the words! Excellent lines.
