Hey aaaaaaaayye spring

Hey aaaaaaaayye spring

A Poem by Shirlena

revealing... frequented tingle

filling lungs with pleasantry

aggression of aromatic cadence

wafting air complimenting sense of smell

sparing complete hostage

of entire breath hoping it’s here to stay

prompting excited discussions of arrival

churning spaces for each sentence

bright effervescent bubbles bliss single letters

savoring fresh hiatus from crisp frigid sting

psychedelic frost

hey old seasoned friend we have panted over you

usher in cherry blossoms dewy olive clovers

once salted my tongue as a 7 year old with resonating green

and dresses patterns of pale lilies... laughing

back ground of cotton candy violet

I throw my head back and relish memories at the vision

with arms flung open r s v p unthawed snuggle

induction of a three moon revolution

gracing the plush verbena runway

What a great use of flowing diction. Each verse rolls of the tongue so pleasingly.

Very nicely penned Shirlena. Spring is on the horizon and very soon those flowers will bloom and the sun dresses will come out of the closet for another season.

Oh my, I click on these spring pieces knowing it will make me pant after it even more.:) Yesterday? Above freezing. Today? Another storm.

I love the poem and the conversation with old spring as if a visit by an old friend bringing delights and wanting to cherish old memories you both had. There is an excitement in your voice of that anticipated arrival...Excellent...:).................
