what's my name

what's my name

A Poem by Shirlena

frozen moments to reconcile

obtain some of which parentage couldn’t produce

never a set of deuces…just one

another somewhere alive without ever a response

nothing but an ill begotten embrace from back end days

illusions of compensation for empty pages

entries omission of his signature at every turn

ah yea and this confounding secondary title

party to my design and I ask why she failed designation

first born with a right brained sign

consent with the pen of a legalese

is the nature of recourse

always despised sounds of random calls

array of reasoning there’s no gratitude upon these lips

however … no pocket for distress bitterness

sit and vie for new arrival of chance

there the answers

branches in convenience

Well, I'm just pleased with an attitude that holds no grudge... you know interpretations on who and what this is... could be a life-time of people, for it all rings so true to the people that run through our lives without ever looking back to catch our reflection... family... friends... it's all the same 'ol story some are meant to be a force in our lives and other are just a distant memory that pop up in thought from time-to-time... no matter, as I always enjoy the rich flow of your words and the deep places you take me as I try to conceive it's meaning... stunning all the same!

Hey, I'm not sure why I wasn't notified about your new postings... is it like I have to request friendship thing?... not sure... sounds like we're back at school holding hands.... smile))))))))) James xx

We are all like orphans trampled hoping to finding some belonging in this cruel world Shirlena. You have tackled this topic of identity with your gifted pen. Even the family tree can feel frail in times like these as global citizen we roam the world anonymous, it's hard enough just to find a true friend. Nevermind the competition, your true comrades will recognize and love you instantly.

You could submit this poem into the Tournament. None of this "one last try", I've easily found at least half a dozen poems here that would do quite well.
