Sometimes....We Just Live

This is a poem dealing with the constant heartbreak-move-on nature of the present era. The various points of this phase has been depicted in the poem.

I've been thinking for some time 
Sitting here and remembering words that rhyme 
Poem and songs take the stress away 
And if u write them yourself they are drowned in bay. 

People come and people go 
We get up, get sad and cry, oh! 
Then we remember the beautiful times we had 
We think we have lost our clad 
Experiences only teach us and show we are stronger than this 
But we are always stuck thinking "Why only I was chosen for this?" 
Everyone has pain, some have more , some have less. 
We keep wondering, "why the irregularity?"
And then somehow we forgive 
Sometimes...We Just Live. 

Similar things happened to me again and again 
I kept wondering why I put my life in drain 
People came to me, but all they did was betray
Others came and held me and made the thoughts sway 
With time they left too 
Every time I knew, I just knew. 
I get mixed with emotions of rage, betrayal and revenge 
But then I knew I couldn't avenge 
I am not made for this, I am meant to just give 
Sometimes....We Just Live

Nature never deceives us; it is always we who deceive ourselves...then there wont be any friend or foe...
so emotional and heart touching.It talks about siting alone watching a bay pouring the sad and pleased memories into it ...few people come and go like a wind....awesome poetry.yea it made an effect indeed.

I feel alright as i read this as well ~ yes We just Live ~ like i said to myself : survival is life.

"rage and revenge" ~ is not always the answer.... I knew it too well that it does not goes so well, it adds up to the tension more until it explodes and ending up hurting almost everyone around you.... I like what you said: I am meant to just give ~ it just meant that your much of a giver than a reciever... and that's pure love in all around you... give and give without asking in return...

~ it's the truth, i knew it too well too ~ i do it all the time everytime i get so emotionally distress, it somehow relief the aching wondering.... then i find a deeper understanding after that...

Everyone leaves...a sad thought. I recently wrote a piece about my "over giving" nature. I tend to be one who gives and gives and gives and then gets....taken advantage of. This made an emotional impact on me because I could see myself in the lines. We must learn to love ourselves enough so that when we are left alone we don't give up.

When givers like us, Girl Friday, start thinking about ourself, people start calling us selfish. Isn't that the most hilariously ironical thing in the world? People who never gave anything to anyone, not even to ones who gave to them, start calling you 'selfish'. Well this recent incident is gonna inspire my upcoming poems, definitely :)

The feeling of this poem is really deep and philosophical, as all the questions in it..I like the way it flows, sometimes the rhymes are too "similar", for me you could go without them even :) Sounds as a self-journey with reflection of the real reasons in life and thoughts...Your soul is open as someone, who travels and want to see the truth..The statement 'sometimes we just live" accepts all ambivalent stages in life here and now, and say we have to be ourselves, no matter what. I find this poem so nice an creative with deep ideas! thank you!
