Lockdown Day Forty

Lockdown Day Forty

A Poem by Pat Sherwin
"

I have been writing a daily poem since the beginning of lockdown

"
Forty Days
Lockdown just goes on and on
Where have those forty days just gone.
One walk a day by the way
Not much fun in that you say
Racing to find a delivery slot
So many people hoping to shop.
Supermarket queues to fill up a trolley
Click and collect in a car park quite chilly.
On line this on line that
Screen fatigue we just want a chat.
High street shops empty we have no choice
ASOS and Boohoo have restricted our voice.
Days getting longer to bring us some cheer
Hope the end of restrictions will soon be here.
