penniless at life's vending machine
staring at friendships cuisine
drooling at the people I can't get

shaking that damn mechanical device

stray dog wants a bite of this sandwich

the licks and companionship are profit

this is a real hard knock life and i was beginning to think there was no happy end but it does end on a high note, or at least opens a window. gratitude for what you find in this new companion, rather than the dwelling on what is not there. i really liked this, easily relatable and flows smooth like a song.
