Longing

Longing

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Engulfed

entrapped

ensnared

by the glimpse of you-

A mirage of Beauty Supreme

in manly form

unlike I have ever seen before

it is not your body

that I seek

but the heart and soul

that seeps

from your lonely eyes

serene-

You set upon this landscape

before me

a mystery I have yet

to surmise

yet I wonder in the Beauty

of you

together we could be two

as twin mussels in a shell-

Forever

would not quell

my longing.
