Longing

My heart longs to be with you

when we are apart

I can't seem to find the words

to express my deepest

emotions, devotion

to you-

 

As we meander through our days

separated yet I find myself wanting

to be freed upon you

in your sweet embrace

I find solace, kindness, grace

as with the dear smile

upon your face.

 

Dream with me, my love

in my arms too

find the peace, the comfort

you so long for

as I will hold you tight

each and every night.
