Wanted to be me

Wanted to be me

A Poem by Siddhidatri Pande
"

Its how I tackle myself when world is not what it should be like to me.

"
Wanted  to rise but I dive,
Wanted to live but my mind plays tricks,
Wanted to swim out of the shadow, but I am gripped by malo,
Wanted to lift my spirits and jive but my failures make me cry,
Wanted a brighter side and all I  could see was  a starry night,
I wanted to be one of those,
I wanted to pull my desires close,
I wanted to patch up my rows,
I wanted to forget my foes,
I wanted to side my woes,
I wanted to see my visions happen,
Wanted that someday all wrongs vanish,
For I wanted to be me,
A person I am striving to be.

I think it is a really great concept! I enjoy the idea that you can struggle yet triumph under the circumstances. There are only two things that I would consider changing. I would use a more powerful word than "cry". Also when you are referring to a starry night as dark it does not make the point I believe you are trying to show. When I think of a starry night I think of bright stars, and I am not so much focused on the dark. Overall it is great, I am not a professional writer, just giving some feedback.
