Truce

Truce

A Poem by Sierra Nerys
"

about me and one of my sisters- I love her to death but we fight like crazy.

"

I don't know why you hate me so

I just don't understand

but the pain that this is causing me

is more than I can stand.

I've tried so hard to reach out,

to put the bad stuff in the past

but every peaceful moment

never seems to last.

You say that I don't love you

and you say that I don't care

but if someone ever hurt you,

they wouldn't have a prayer.

My job is to protect you,

my goal, to make you smile

so how can all this fighting

remotely be worth while?

"Blood is thicker than water"

that's what we've all been told

and sisters are the ones who

will be there for you when you're old.

I know its time for this to end

I'm just waiting on you

I've called a truce, so now we wait

to see if we can follow through.

this is very great!
I just can relate with this! I have brothers and sisters, but I am not that close with them.
The message is intelligible
I like the way you ended this poem.
"I've called a truce, so now we wait
to see if we can follow through"... very clever ending!
Excellent work!
Keep writing ^^

About
Talking about me isn't something I'm great at, so I'll just tell you why I'm here. I love to write, and most of the outlets I've used don't get me very far in sharing my work with other people. Critic.. more..
