Anchorless Voyage

Anchorless Voyage

A Poem by Siguard

     Below the canvas of fear
I clung to the mast of hollow dreams

I voyage the seas of despair
On a one-man ship deserted by fortune
Colliding waves of reality, offered no refuge
Condemned like Odysseus, on my vessel of demise

And when all hope seems to have washed away
A roaring voice yells in grandeur
"Give up not young lad, i'm watching over you"

Awed by the thought of a deity coming to my rescue
Or maybe it my apathy speaking to me through delusions
If not i can only hope its friendship
Taking the roll of a savior
