i think your opening line is strong .. the imaging sparks my imagination and i relate to it. .. that kind of fogginess when i want to wake up but just can't shake the sleep off .. loneliness can be so painful .. life seems to take us there until we learn that we are ok within our own selves .. that being alone and loneliness are not the same .. in my life that lesson learned takes the edge off "loneliness" .. i miss people .. but i'm still ok ;)

I loved the analogy you had here!!!
"When I miss you, my day is like the fog that doesn’t clear"
I've never heard that one before! That might just be a UK thing, though! :) I liked this read, short but sweet. So head over heels for that person that you miss, I know the feeling, hun. :) Thank you for sharing!!!
Kindly, Nix ❤️️

You're very welcome!!! :) I hope you have a wonderfultastic weekend too!!! :))))
Beautifully expressed. The loneliness that comes when a significant other is absent. Your posted image, the city of my birth. Left when I was eight. The loneliness in inner city areas is everywhere. I can remember London smog. My soul felt heavy when I read this poem for several reasons.

They were salt of the earth, so kind and generous. So heavy, but also delighting in their memories and remembering their smiles. Never be sorry about what you write and the feelings your lines generate. That is good poetry if it gets through :)
Your sense of loneliness is well-expressed, as it relates to missing another. The tone of your message has a harsh finality to it, like the narrator must learn to accept this, as hard as it is. Fondly, Margie

You are really good!!! You got it! Thanks a million darling ;-)
The picture, itself, aches of loneliness … a perfect choice to set the moment, Sil.
Oh, such a poignant sense of longing loneliness pervades my very spirit from the sheer tug of your deeply alluring tug upon my heart … your imagery is so strong it's as though you've enveloped me in it.
Syntax is a wee off in spots, but overall you've done a masterful job of making me feel you.
With a bit of poetic structure, the essence of this piece could easily slip under one's skin.
You've swept me up again … thank you, Dear Lady-Poet🍂 ⁓ Richard

Very nice. A frequently relatable (Sp?) poem about being alone. Nice visuals and the black and white photo of London with Big Ben in the frame is a nice touch.
