The Butterfly Kiss

The Butterfly Kiss

A Poem by Silmara McGarry

Among angels she dances, emerging and flying,

disappearing gracefully yet no more tears to cry.

What a fascinating creature, alluring them all,

no one can slash her wings because she knows no fall

Again and again she emerges as if life has no end,

spinning around their heads in entrancing speed.

What more could she do since her magic is endless?

Intriguing are their thoughts as why she has been

so restless

Does this being really exists or is all just a dream?

no she has realms in different dimensions that is why

you can't see.

Learn to upspring above the planet so you can make

sense of her,

although that is impossible for the butterfly is dead.

Your poem is a captivating and thought-provoking work of art that explores the concept of a mystical being that exists beyond the boundaries of our world. The way you describe the character's movements and the allure she has over others is both enchanting and mesmerizing, and the ending is a poignant reminder of the fleeting nature of life. The way you write about the character's existence in different dimensions is particularly intriguing, and it adds an extra layer of depth to the poem. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your poem and was left feeling inspired and curious about the world beyond our own.

Such a beautiful, bittersweet journey of words... of wings... There is a wonder there in this world... in the rising light... and falling darkness. Feeling so much of that dream right now... pausing to read these sighs again... and again feeling the butterfly falling to earth...

Much appreciated dear🤍
The sight of a butterfly brings such delight that one is left feeling as if in another and kinder place.
No matter the sun or breeze, a butterfly still visits, flits and flies, settles and lingers, a guardian angel in disguise.
Even if she's destined to fade into her beautiful heaven, that creatures's place is a reminder, a once hope that somehow outlasts the pitch dark of a long night.
Sliding off my soapbox.. sorry.. I wish you joy, dear Silmara.

Some folks pin dead butterflies to boards and spray them with fixative to immortalize them. But they can never recapture the freedom and flutter of the living thing. I much prefer to see them dancing among the flowers. Lovely poem, F.

I loved this poem, then I died with the butterfly. --- So sad, the ending, or beginning, or just another phase in the never-ending cycle. Great Poem! --- Thanks.

Your poem reminds me of my coping mechanism for life these days, floating above it all, being in a realm where I don't see & feel all that is not impacting me. It's good to be cognizant of how tough it is for other people, but we can't let ourselves become bogged down by all the bad news in this world. I vote for taking the path of the butterfly kiss (((HUGS)))

Gorgeous photo! *winK! wink!*

Beautifully done, Sil. "For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." Transformation and renewal will always be related to the butterfly. They bring good luck in dreams I hear. :)))
