When Forever Repeats Itself

When Forever Repeats Itself

A Poem by Siena - Silent Awakenings.
"

The calamity this time, was us.

"
The days pass like the forever eternal hum of the world around.
The cycle never stops, it will never alter its pace for a single soul.
Mindless, thoughtful beings that try to prove their sanity.
For if it decides to change, we will too.
A long lost wind howling through an open door down an empty street.
Into yet again, a new climax of life.

Days end...

Muzzled like dogs, we remain quiet.
This time only the soft sounds entering our ears, ignoring the clashes of uncalled for talk
that the villagers contribute.
Shouting, we do not hear.
For the words are lost in the wind.

When fear to speak and stand up for your rights. We are in trouble. Many new laws were passed in the past year. The leaders want us to have muzzle on and silence. Sad when you hear only cried for help in the wind. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poem.

This is really deep, and somehow soothing. The imagery is also very good. The only thing I minded here is the small font.

You really hit the proverbial nail on the head with this one! We are, at times. our own worst enemy. Time and age are helpless allies in our struggles against time. Never mind the 'tiny font'...this was spectacular work!

Indeed the cycle never stops: the process of creation and destruction is eternal and all is impermanent. Beautifully written, stirring imagery.

I love the feeling of loss and lonesomeness I get from this. The feeling of repetition and not mattering. Very well written.

My reviews really don't mean much, understanding poetry as little as i do, but I really love the sense of rhythm and metaphors i felt in the poetry here. It was really pretty, and it really made me think.

Uh oh. I could barely read the small font. If you see a smudge on the screen, that was my nose. Your poem gives us much to think about, such as "Shouting, we do not hear". The cycle of life may seem to go on forever with everyone immersed in their own daily routines. But, historically, the world does change, sometimes drastically and quickly. Then, all of us are obliged to adapt to a new life or civilization. You have a nice writing style and you skillfully use descriptive metaphors. Well done!
