When I Die

When I Die

A Poem by SilentlyDying

Please, when I die,

I'd appreciate no lies.

You never loved me,

That much was plain to see

When I cried clear,

Did you not hear?

Of course not, you ignored me

So very blatantly.

Sure, I was fine

As I said many a time,

But darling, you have to dig deep

To find the secrets that I keep.

Yes, they're shown on my skin

But many more are hidden deep within.

And those are the ones that drove me

To become what I started to be

And then to the edge

As I stepped off my self-built ledge.

So as now off I go,

It would be nice to know

That you won't pretend

To take my life to mend;

After I'm really gone

And everything is done,

If there's one thing I need,

My suicidal plea,

Please, love, don't lie and say you cared for me.
